Introduction to Design, Content and Files
The content and files menu allows you to effectively manage and organize different types of content within your site.
From the Content and Files menu, you can access:
- Content Areas - these areas control the content that is displayed on your site
- Custom Pages - additional pages that you can link to
- Blog Manager - a manager for your blog posts
- Custom Urls - a redirect tool used to customize links on your site
- File Manager - a database that you can use to manage files that you'd like stored and hosted on the site
Most users will find that the easiest way to make quick changes to the storefront is through design mode. It can be accessed by clicking the box next to Design Mode in the drop-down menu on the top left corner of your store.
When you are in design mode, hovering over a content block will highlight it in orange. Clicking on it will take you to the editor where you can make your changes. For more information on editing content blocks, click here.
You can also access Content Areas from the admin menu. In this section, you will find a list of the types of content blocks that can be edited on your site. For a more detailed breakdown of the different types of content areas, click here.
