Print Templates allow you to view order information in a print-friendly layout. These are only available via the administration panel and are never exposed to the storefront.
Here, we will illustrate how to view your current Print Templates as well as how to edit them.

Adding & Editing Print Templates
You can add or modify templates by in the admin by going to: Config > Design > Print Templates
Typically, the 3 print templates shown below are included in the setup.
Anatomy of a Print Template
- Template Name: The name of your template.
- Body: The main part of the template containing either text or images.
- Available Tags: These are the available tags that can be utilized for the template
- Repeating Section: This section would contain any information that recurs (sku, quantity, price etc)
Since our Print Templates are quite similar to the E-mail Templates, you can copy an existing email template over and just create a new template and remove the elements that you do not want displayed.
For example, if you just wanted to add your logo to the Administrator Receipt, you would just copy the highlighted snippet of code from your Admin Order Receipt email template and paste it at the top of your print template.
The end result will appear as follows:
Viewing Print Templates
To preview the different print templates that are available on your site, you will go into the order manager and click on an order. On the top right of the screen, you will click on the print icon shown below.
To preview what a particular template looks like, you will select it from the drop down menu and click on the Generate Print Template option indicated by the arrow below.
